Senior Oracle Database Engineer

Required Qualifications 

• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator or Engineer. 
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). 
• Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, GoldenGate, Data Guard, and RMAN. 
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning. 
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. 
• Familiarity with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. 
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent certifications. 
• Experience with Exadata or Autonomous Database. 
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Exposure to other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

• Our environment includes a broad range of technologies and tools. Candidates should be comfortable working with or learning the following: 
• Oracle Database 19c (ExaC@C (oracles hardware on prem) and ExaCS - their data center in the cloud) -current environment is in this (manage this a little differently)
• GoldenGate 21c/23ai - oralce product and replicates fata from one place to another
• ^for them this is about 85 of the work but 50% of what the team does is that
• -one other SME in oracle and two others that are training in oracle as well, 4 out of 7 support oracle, 1 SME so they will be find and single threaded until replacement
• Other people on the team handle these but they are on call they will help with the problems in Tableau in documentation, etc. call someone on the team. Main job focused on Oracle DB and golden gate but all things being equal minimal fashion
