This position is responsible for directing and coordinating accounting functions and systems to provide Tyson Poultry management with timely and accurate information regarding our Sedalia facility. The role involves providing accounting support to the Sedalia Live Operations and Processing Plant. Key responsibilities include:

  • Live Accounting feed reconciliations

  • Boiler and breeder inventory reconciliations

  • Breeder and broiler weekly pay

  • Weekly and monthly live cost analysis

  • Serving as the key contact for management team data analysis and recommendations

  • Capital review and management

  • Conducting self-audits to ensure compliance

  • Monthly live cost setting and review

  • Quarterly financial projections and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Flux analysis

  • Annual budget projections

  • Overseeing grower and vendor contract setup

  • Supervising a plant location

  • Performing other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned

This position will work closely with management in operations and corporate accounting and will report to the Senior Controller at Sedalia.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

Experience: 6+ years of accounting management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable in SAP and database systems.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members; critical thinking skills.

Supervisory: Responsible for supervising 4 team members.

Travel: 1-5 domestic trips per year.

Background Check: Required.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines
