Senior Software Engineer

Sensormatic Electronics, LLC seeks Senior Software Engineer at its facility located at 1919 S Bascom Ave, Suite 600, Campbell, California 95008.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Collaborate with engineering teams to build and integrate edge-based voice and face recognition technologies onto products. Utilize machine learning algorithms and statistical modelling, such as isolation forests, to identify security anomalies in smart homes. Develop systems to ensure timely user notifications, enhancing the security and reliability of smart home systems. Apply time series analysis to accurately forecast product sales by region, enabling efficient inventory management and minimizing excess inventory, thus reducing costs and improving supply chain efficiency. Leverage predictive analytics to anticipate network issues with mesh routers. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to recommend solutions such as range extenders and controller upgrades, preventing potential network disruptions and improving customer experience. Create dynamic dashboards for product and marketing teams to visualize and analyze the behavior of mesh routers, security panels, alarms, smart home operations, and related devices and sensors. Use unsupervised machine learning algorithms, such as clustering, to characterize customer behavior and identify trends among different customer groups. Drive innovation by leading teams in designing and developing new product features. Present these innovations to stakeholders, contributing to patent applications and achieving company-wide recognition for technological advancements. Conduct EDA on large datasets using complex SQL queries in BigQuery to extract valuable insights. Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI and DAX measures to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs). Lead projects to develop predictive models for smart rules based on device operation data. Work with development teams across the globe to analyze product data, providing insights that aid in decision-making, improve product functionality, and enhance product maintenance. Foster collaboration among diverse teams, including engineering, sales, marketing, and product development, to achieve common goals and deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and promote the adoption of industry best practices in data science and analytics to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technological innovation. Telecommuting: 3 days per week remote work allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Additionally, the applicant must have completed the following graduate-level coursework: (1) Math Statistics II; (2) Machine Learning; (3) Natural Language Processing; (4) Neural Networks; (5) Data/Visualization & Exploration; (6) Algorithms for Data Science; and (7) Applied Information Retrieval.

RATE OF PAY: $172,931.00 -$172,931.00 per year
