This role focuses on delivering Vodafone’s European Network Strategy, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and future viability.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Independently manage engineering projects from conception to live implementation.</li> <li>Collect and analyze requirements from internal stakeholders across various Operating Companies (OpCos).</li> <li>Develop technical concepts and implement them according to performance, functionality, and deadline expectations.</li> <li>Plan project and internal resources effectively.</li> <li>Manage, coordinate, and oversee the work of external project staff.</li> <li>Design and implement architecture concepts and solutions for fiber optic and coaxial cable networks.</li> <li>Plan and set up line architectures including E2E dimensioning for access, feeder lines, and distribution points.</li> <li>Develop technical solutions for civil engineering components such as ducts, branching housings, and conduits.</li> <li>Optimize and adapt passive fiber infrastructure to ensure long-term performance and profitability.</li> <li>Develop technical specifications, guidelines, and testing procedures.</li> <li>Conduct qualification and type testing of fiber/coax cables and passive network components.</li> <li>Implement lifecycle measures, including performance analysis and optimization.</li> <li>Support technical aspects of tenders (RfQs) and assess offers in collaboration with the purchasing department.</li> <li>Establish standards for route and cable documentation (e.g. Cramer/GIS).</li> <li>Work cross-functionally with internal departments: Engineering, Planning, Deployment, Operations, and Procurement.</li> <li>Maintain technical dialogue with suppliers and partners, especially concerning access network technologies.</li> <li>Act as a technical advisor in national and international project teams.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>What your bring</b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably Communications Engineering), or a related field; or equivalent professional training with significant experience.</li> <li><b>Solid understanding of fiber and coax communication Technologies (GPON, DOCSIS) and installation Methods</b></li> <li>Strong knowledge in analogue, digital, and optical transmission technology.</li> <li>Familiarity with optical measurement tools and line technology.</li> <li>Experience with civil and aerial installation methods.</li> <li>Proficiency in GIS, and network documentation systems (e.g., Cramer).</li> <li>Project management skills with a high level of self-organization.</li> <li>Fluency in written and spoken English.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Nice to have:</p> <ul> <li>Fluency in German language</li> <li>Deep experience with HFC networks</li> </ul> <p> </p> <h2><b>Benefits</b></h2> <p> </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>We offer hybrid (2 days in the office).</li> <li>Competitive salary.</li> <li>Intensive Summer Schedule.</li> <li>Intensive schedule every Friday.</li> <li>Health Insurance.</li> <li>Life insurance.</li> <li>25 days holiday + December 24th and 31st.</li> <li>Restaurant tickets.</li> <li>Online training.<br/>  </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><b id="docs-internal-guid-ec3afc53-7fff-e421-6a57-b223ba9494db">#LiHybrid</b></p> <p dir="ltr"><b id="docs-internal-guid-ec3afc53-7fff-e421-6a57-b223ba9494db">REF: </b><b>261703</b></p> <p> </p> <h2><b>Why Vodafone</b></h2> <p>Our mission is to create an accessible workplace where all team members can thrive, regardless of their unique abilities or challenges.
