Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Quality Engineer (PQE) responsible for process and product quality management from New Product Introduction (NPI) through mass production. This role will be deeply involved in project quality development, quality risk prevention, process quality control, continuous improvement activities, and customer feedback management. Through quality planning, process monitoring, and problem solving, the incumbent will ensure stable product quality and compliance with customer requirements.
This position focuses on APQP, New Product Introduction (NPI), Process Quality, Product Quality, and Project Quality Management.
Candidates should possess one of the following backgrounds:
Track 1: Solid manufacturing process and quality management experience, capable of driving products smoothly from development into mass production while continuously improving quality performance, and responding to customer feedback and issue resolution.
Track 2: Strong experience in polymer materials and/or thermal interface materials, with the ability to conduct quality improvement and analysis from the perspectives of process control, quality control, testing, and validation.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Quality Development (APQP/NPI)
- Participate in new product development projects and be responsible for project quality planning and quality risk management;
- Lead APQP activities, identify potential quality risks during the product development stage, and ensure projects are successfully launched into mass production according to plan;
- Responsible for PPAP submission and customer approval activities;
- Drive the implementation and application of quality tools including PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC;
- Collaborate with project management, R&D, manufacturing engineering, production operations, and other teams to achieve project quality objectives.
Process Quality Management
- Responsible for quality control and process improvement during mass production;
- Analyze and resolve process quality issues in the manufacturing environment;
- Drive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA);
- Establish and maintain quality control plans, inspection standards, and related quality documentation;
- Continuously monitor key quality indicators and drive improvement initiatives;
- Improve product yield and reduce process defects and quality risks.
Customer Quality and Audit Management
- Serve as the customer quality interface, coordinating customer quality requirements and issue resolution;
- Lead customer complaint analysis and improvement activities, ensuring 8D report closure;
- Responsible for Process Audits and Product Audits;
- Participate in customer audit activities and drive corrective action closure;
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer requirements and company quality standards.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive the implementation of quality improvement projects;
- Utilize tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis to resolve quality issues;
- Participate in quality training and quality culture development;
- Continuously improve manufacturing process quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree or above;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality-related roles within a manufacturing environment;
- Experience in quality management for both New Product Development (APQP/NPI) and mass production stages;
- Proficient in core quality tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC;
- Audit experience;
- Familiarity with quality risk identification, quality planning, and problem-solving methodologies;
