About the role

This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH Area 
We are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH
The Team Lead's responsibilities include for coordinating and implementing marketing initiatives or campaigns which influence the acquisition of new business and retention of current partners. This role makes recommendations for, and may develop, innovative, actionable marketing and media plans to accomplish marketing objectives such as content sales growth, brand awareness, lead generation, app installation or trial, or customer satisfaction. This position will also be responsible for providing quality written communications to support OverDrive’s sales and marketing initiatives which influence the acquisition and retention of new business, along with making recommendations and assisting in developing messaging and strategies for OverDrive’s websites, print materials, direct marketing advertising, social media channels and other important communication initiatives.

This role will be focused on a particular target market: Schools in North America. Depending on market focus, this position will interact with many audiences, such as school partners, publisher partners, end users, community organizations, media outlets, industry professionals, and OverDrive teams. Responsibilities:    
  • Provide Coordinate marketing plans that effectively engage target audiences.
  • Assist with planning campaigns using owned, earned and paid media for industry publications/websites and social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google AdWords and YouTube along with in-house Advertising, PR and Social Media teams.
  • Monitor performance of marketing assets and contribute recommendations for improvements for each campaign.
  • Establish and maintain relationships and good communication with key internal department members to carry out marketing campaigns that meet goals, timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure that all campaigns are executed within the established budget and maintain production schedules.
  • Participate in brainstorm sessions to develop a strong and innovative campaign strategy.
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager to develop a strategy and vision with corresponding budget and resource plan that supports business priorities and growth.
  • Propose, test and evaluate new marketing strategies Research new tactics, channels and tools to improve marketing impact and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to identify and implement campaign initiatives to support revenue or circulation growth and drive customer success.
  • Understand  business  unit  annual  goals  and  objectives  to  identify  cross-channel  campaign opportunities.
  • Participate in special projects as a lead campaign team representative. 
  • Produce  quality  marketing  communications  for  internal  and  external  audiences  via  multiple channels, including web, print, social media, direct marketing media advertising, events, etc., balancing the OverDrive brand guidelines and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in idea generation and message development; draft quality marketing communications while balancing the demands of brand management and deadlines for web, print, direct marketing advertising, events, etc.
  • Proactively update the Brand Marketing & Communications team on news and trends in the market (internally and externally)/marketing and the potential impact on the team’s work.
  • •Serve as the subject matter expert for messaging for the specific OverDrive market(s) they serve/subject matter expert for the channels they focus on (e.g. advertising, email, video).
  • Provide advanced input re: graphics to help shape end product/message
  • Recommend solutions that result in improved or more efficient work product.
  • Edit or review projects for grammar and spelling, adhering to OverDrive brand messages.
  • Offer expert advice and opinions to team members.
  • Assist with the training of new team members and assist management in overseeing the work of junior team members.
Requirements:    
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of related experience; prefer 3+years experience with OverDrive.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with internal and external customers, as well as be an enthusiastic team player.
