Title and Summary

Principal Workday Product Manager - Technical

Overview:
As a Principal Workday Product Manager - Technical at Mastercard, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our Workday applications. You will comprehensively understand the drivers and capabilities of our Human Resources business, both current and future states, and use that knowledge to define targeted business outcomes that align with our Enterprise Technology strategy.
The HR Technology team designs, develops, and implements technology that helps improve and engage all employees.
This role combines technical expertise with product management skills, making it a key driver of our success in leveraging Workday solutions.

Role:
• Apply the Working Backwards method, to translate business requirements and customer experiences into actionable features, shaping the product roadmap.
• Develop inspiring platform/product visions, derived from business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends.
• Collaborate with Business Owners, Developers, and UX designers to define the details behind the business requirements.
• Own the Workday feature release vision, identifying gaps and new capabilities.
• Use research, user studies, metrics, and competitive analysis to comprehend software and business needs.
• Perform competitive feature assessments to inform prioritization.
• Identify innovations and performs test and learn experiments to create new feature opportunities.
• Gather feedback from the business to shape product needs.
• Contribute to near-term input for product management roadmaps.
• Assess risks and propose solutions for your team’s work.
• Exhibit expertise within platform feature area and coordinates with interdependent teams.
• Digest business customer requirements (user stories, use cases) and platform requirements for a platform feature set.
• Participate in the design of the user experience using Workday Integrations.
• Define release goals, continually monitor feature development, and assess product demos.
• Prepare launches and monitors platform performances, adoption, and operational health for feature sets.
• Support and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature.

All About You:
• Proven experience as a Product Manager with a focus on Workday applications.
• Extensive knowledge of Workday HCM and its various modules.
• Technical and business acumen.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate technology to business stakeholder and business to technology people at an executive level.
• Experience in determining and use of relevant business metrics, KPIs, analyses, and reports to measure, monitor and improve performance.
• Experience documenting business processes, procedures, scripts, and workflows.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to influence others without direct reporting relationships while providing strategic thinking to a wide range of business units and HR technology services.
• Experience working with all levels of leadership.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to effectively collaborate in a geographically distributed environment.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and SAP is a plus.
