SailPoint is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build a new cloud-based SaaS identity analytics product. We are looking for well-rounded backend or full stack engineers who are passionate about building and delivering reliable, scalable microservices and infrastructure for SaaS products. This is a unique opportunity to build something from scratch but have the backing of an organization that has the muscle to take it to market quickly, with a very satisfied customer base. 

Responsibilities 

  • Code in Java or Golang.

  • Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust microservices. 

  • Produce designs and rough estimates, and implement features based on product requirements. 

  • Collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing. 

  • Produce unit and end-to-end tests to improve code quality and maximize code coverage for new and existing features. 

Requirements 

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience 

  • Strong Java or Golang experience 

  • Great communication skills 

  • Proficient experience with object-oriented analysis and design skills 

  • Proficient experience with an object-oriented programming language and techniques 

  • Proficient understanding of Java Frameworks

  •  Experience with AWS 

  • Due to FedRAMP requirements, US Citizenship is required to be considered for this role

Preferred 

  • BS in Computer Science, or a related field 

  • Experience with Continuous Delivery 

  • Experience instrumenting code for gathering production performance metrics 

  • Candidates located in Austin are preferred

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):

$116,900 - $167,000 - $217,100

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
