Job Title: Senior Manager, Retention Marketing
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Retention Marketing will lead the strategy & planning for the email & mobile channel with a focus on customer engagement, retention & reactivation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop daily email & SMS planning calendars that support brand and business objectives – to support both online & omni-channel sales.
- Define the strategy, implementation, and ongoing evolution of all lifecycle and trigger programming, including but not limited to: email & SMS acquisition initiatives, onboarding journeys, nurture, and win-back programs.
- Partner closely with cross functional teams to ensure email & SMS marketing calendar is aligned with the 360-marketing calendar, clienteling activities, product deliveries & site experience.
- Strategize on customer segmentation & journeys for ongoing program and testing opportunities; work with COE counterparts to ensure customer lists meet strategic objectives.
- Submit timely briefs that clearly communicate needs and leverage learnings past performance.
- Analyze and report on campaign performance weekly, monthly, and annually; make recommendations to continuously improve our email templates, personalization, and advance features.
- Collaborate with COE on a test & learn agenda for email & SMS.
- Monitor list health & develop prospecting plans to drive list growth.
- Own vendor partnerships with SMS & Trigger email vendor; identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Work closely with internal and agency partners to optimize performance and improve strategy.
- Drive program innovation through continuous assessment of the competitive landscape (within the retail industry and beyond), market research, and member engagement.
- Budget management & invoicing for any CRM/Email related vendors.
Experience:
- 7+ years in email marketing or ecommerce
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft office applications, including intermediate capabilities with Excel.
- Prior experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar ESP
- Experience with HTML and content management systems
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics a plus.
