Shred Tech IV - Lead 1st shift

Job Summary: Qualified applicants must be able to perform all tasks noted below in a busy environment with limited supervision. From time to time, you may be required to work other shifts or be temporarily moved to other departments in the plant. Must also be prepared for any related duties Whitehall Specialties, Inc (within reason) assigned by the Supervisor or Management. 

  Monday thru Thursday 5:30am to 4pm  $21.75        

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• The lead is responsible to maintain the entire process line in the proper parameters. 

• The lead must ensure that all employees in their area comply with all safety requirements. 

• The Shred Line Lead must be willing to take responsibility for finished product. 

• He/she must make sure all paperwork is properly and filled out. 

• The Shred Line Lead must be able to operate, assemble and disassemble (for daily setup purpose) all equipment in their area.  

• The Shred Line Lead must be willing to accept responsibility for the process and react to any problems that develop during the process.  

 

Required Skills and Abilities:  

• Package finished product including box making, lining, filling, closing, and palletizing. 

• Inspect cheese products, packing and boxes for damage, report deficiencies to proper parties.   

• Complete all necessary cleaning and workplace sanitation requirements.  

• Perform all tasks in a busy environment with limited supervision.  

• Record production information in a tablet, computer or by hand.  

• Attend all required company training. 

• Must be able to multi-task. 

• Flexible to support work in all areas as needed.  

• Perform duties following all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) including food, equipment, and operating safety requirements.  

 

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

 

 

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds consistently. 

• Stand for extended periods of time.  

• Vision including that ability to read, distance vision and peripheral.
