The Gist

As a FatCats Dishwasher/Prep Cook, you'll be at the heart of our kitchen, supporting the cooking team with food prep and keeping things running smoothly and safely. This is an entry-level, part-time role that's perfect for gaining experience in a quick-service kitchen or picking up extra hours on nights and weekends. You'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, well-organized space while prepping food items and ensuring all dishware is ready for use.

A Day in the Life of a Dishwasher/Prep Cook

You'll be essential to keeping the kitchen flowing. Each shift, you'll kick off by prepping ingredients and setting up stations for quick and accurate meal assembly, double-checking portion sizes and safety guidelines along the way. While keeping an eye on kitchen cleanliness, you'll handle dishwashing at a steady pace, ensuring all utensils, dishes, and work areas meet health and safety standards. During downtimes, you'll help maintain a tidy kitchen, always ready to support your team in creating a seamless dining experience.

The Schedule

This role requires flexibility. We're busiest when others are having fun, so you'll be working nights, weekends, and holidays. We do our best to accommodate your schedule whenever possible.

Job Requirements

• Be ready to work as a supportive and proactive team member.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to cleanliness, detail, and safe food handling.
• Have strong time management skills to keep up with kitchen needs and stay organized.
• Follow recipes accurately and maintain food storage to ensure freshness.

An unexpired food handler's permit is required (or must be obtained before starting work duties).
