Job Description

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Conveyance Technical Leader/Senior Project Manager, who will also serve as a Client Services Manager, with a focus in water/wastewater infrastructure design, with in-depth design engineering experience in municipal public right-of-way conveyance and pumping systems, for immediate employment in our Charlotte and  Raleigh, NC offices. This practice leadership role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to focus on a mix of client business growth, technical leadership in municipal conveyance design, project delivery leadership and mentoring of developing engineering staff by leveraging top notch regional and national water/wastewater engineering expertise and capabilities to expand AECOM’s Raleigh area business.

The appropriately qualified applicant will be a seller/doer and have the opportunity to manage and work with an established team of professional engineers on a variety of water, wastewater, and storm water design projects including collection and distribution pipelines, pumping stations, water/wastewater treatment facilities, and storage systems. The applicant will have the opportunity to provide engineering leadership on a mix of municipal, state and Federal Dept. of Defense facility projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborate with regional and national AECOM experts in the Water Business Line and       across business lines to bring cutting edge solutions and teams to our clients and to seek   new municipal business opportunities with existing clients.

• Work with senior technical staff and marketing staff to deliver winning proposals.

• Serve as Client Services Manager for select clients.

• Conduct planning and staff meetings.

• Oversee the successful delivery of technical work.

• Serve as Seller/Doer, Project Manager, and technical lead for the planning, design,   permitting and construction of water/wastewater conveyance and pumping projects,   including new construction, rehabilitation/renewal, and public right-of-way utility relocation.

• Oversee project elements including reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings,     construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and construction phase   engineering services.

• Perform project management activities including coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies; scope, schedule, and budget development; project team coordination; interdisciplinary coordination; budget and schedule tracking; invoicing; and payment of subconsultants and contractors.

• Supervise and mentor junior staff and provide professional growth opportunities for team members
