We’re looking to hire a Director, Public Affairs Communications, Cybersecurity. This person will be an experienced professional to lead a team managing communications for cybersecurity policy, threat intelligence, influence operations intelligence, and large portions of the company’s work to protect the world from cyber threats. You’ll tell stories about what nation-states are doing to attack their targets and influence the domestic and global landscape, and what the company is doing about it. You will work closely with teams focused on monitoring, analyzing, and disrupting threats as well as those shaping smart policies. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, communicating real-time developments and managing crisis scenarios. You’ll be responsible for managing a small internal team and an agency team.  

 

As a member of the Public Affairs Team, you’ll also collaborate with colleagues focused on marketing, digital media, campaign management, and global government affairs, as well as communications colleagues around the company focused on products and on the ground in locations around the world.  

 

The candidate will be a world class communicator with strength and direct experience in media relations at the highest level and the other tools in modern communications including messaging, social media, broadcast communication, content development, and events. You’ll have a deep understanding of the geopolitical landscape and the domestic political landscape in key markets around the world. You’ll know how to manage a crisis and provide communications counsel for senior executives. You’ll be a practitioner of communications yourself and be able to manage direct reports as well as agency teams.  

 

The role is preferably based in New York, NY, Washington DC, or Redmond, WA.
