Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical - Sweeny, Clemens & Old Ocean has an Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Administrative Assistant position available at located in Sweeny, Texas. This position is an on-site role and reports to the EHS&S Manager. The successful candidate should have the ability to work cross-functionally and with personnel of various levels throughout the organization, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and possess exceptional planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general administrative support to the EHS&S groups and team members
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Coordinator
  • Manages departmental requisitions and budget
  • Monitors and updates departmental accruals
  • Coordinates business meals
  • Maintains a pro-card in good standing for purchases
  • Prepares and submits accurate expense reports
  • Processes and tracks regulatory correspondence and responses via email and/or certified mail
  • Organizes and coordinates monthly Sequential Safety and Environmental meetings
  • Prepares presentations, reviews slide decks, hosts and edits live recording for viewing and distribution of Sequential Safety meetings
  • Maintains confidential and sensitive information
  • Self-motivated and works effectively with minimal direction
  • Willingness to perform other duties as requested or that may be required to maintain compliance

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Seven (7) years of work experience in an administrative support role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Teams programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting environmental compliance programs
  • Experience with SAP
  • Proficiency in SharePoint
  • Familiarity with Asana
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
