About the role

Head of Total Rewards

The Head of Total Rewards will be responsible for leading a team of professionals and overseeing all aspects of the compensation, benefits, and equity programs for all global employees. This includes developing compensation and benefit strategies that drive growth, attract/retain talent, optimize the workforce, and drive productivity, all while keeping in mind cost savings on a macro level.

Responsibilities

  • Honing and developing the Total reward strategy across all businesses and functions, in collaboration with other areas of the business, assuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Developing a compensation strategy and directing the design, implementation, and communication of all management and executive compensation plans/policies for all compensation programs.
  • Designing, implementing, communicating, and controlling health and welfare benefit programs for more than 9,000 employees.
  • Ensuring the regional deployment of the company's compensation programs including annual salary planning/merit increases process, salary structures, variable pay, and other incentive programs to ensure alignment with the company's goals, initiatives and budget.
  • Providing strategic guidance to the Benefits Team responsible for all compensation and benefit administration.
  • Building long-term goals to improve efficiencies within the Benefits Team. 
  • Partnering with internal and external consultants to ensure the company stays competitive and on-trend in both compensation and benefits while also remaining cost-effective and in line with corporate goals, company policies, and any regulatory requirements.
  • Playing a critical role in the due diligence process and comprehensive review of all compensation and benefit plans for new mergers and acquisitions.
  • Continuing to be a thought leader in helping the organization implement strategies that impact the business. 
  • Serving as a consultative partner at all leadership levels across the organization.
  • Using metrics and analytics to create insights for the business to keep executives informed on progress and decisions through simple and effective communications, presentations & people analytics. 

Skills & Experience

  • 10 + years of experience
  • Knowledge of legislation governing benefit plans (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, PPACA)
  • Knowledge of publicly traded companies and equity share programs including ESPP and ESOP and others
  • Knowledge of UK-based publicly traded organizations is a +
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, and able to shift directions quickly when priorities change
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrates a solid understanding how things affect one another in an overall system
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business situations
  • Thrive in ambiguity and embrace a challenge
  • Strong problem-solving, process improvement and change management skills with the ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively
  • Bring new perspectives to enrich the diversity of discussion across our teams
  • Strategic mindset, strong collaboration, and a relentless focus on execution to drive large initiatives
