About the role

Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to support the Cloud Infrastructure Acquisition organization. CO+I is responsible for planning, building and operating Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure datacenters across the globe. The organizational scope includes demand and supply planning, business operations and strategic acquisition across land, lease, power, and networking. Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee the base infrastructure prepositioning workstream, ensuring collaboration among key stakeholders and maintaining data integrity and accuracy across all related activities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive reporting system and tools to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborates with others to track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules for multiple areas
  • Defines success criteria and performance metrics for critical programs
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead data-driven initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of cloud infrastructure planning and operations, leveraging advanced analytics and business intelligence tools to inform strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data analytics solutions that optimize resource allocation, improve operational performance, and support capacity forecasting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Establish and maintain practices for data governance, data quality, and data security within the cloud infrastructure organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reporting systems to provide real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring stakeholders have access to actionable insights to drive informed decision-making

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience using project management methodologies and tools to plan, schedule, and execute base infrastructure projects in line with strategic goals.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent
