AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer experienced with water resources and/or transportation related projects for an opening in our Sacramento, CA office. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work on flood protection and design of a new off-stream storage dam in Northern California. Due to AECOM success in winning work, a career here will continually offer opportunities on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• ​Providing technical support to water infrastructure projects including: design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Development of plans, specifications, and construction estimates.
• Lead technical design teams for analysis of Water resources infrastructure (dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities) projects.
• Preparation of technical reports, memos, and engineering design and construction related documents.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• California Professional Engineer’s (PE) license
• Experience with Caltrans or other DOT transportation projects 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10-12 years of civil engineering experience related to water and/or transportation projects
• Master’s degree in civil engineering
• Experience with CADD i.e. Civil 3D and Microstation Open Roads
• Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8 modeling software preferred
