The Opportunity
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of Structural Heart disease. We aim to lead the markets we serve by requiring the solutions we offer customers provide an improved benefit/risk profile as compared to existing standards of care; a performance threshold that by definition, guides and ensures the productive output of our engineering, business development, and clinical research efforts result in outcomes that advance the standard of care.
The Associate Sales Rep will be responsible for calling on physicians and hospitals to sell and educate on Abbott cardiac surgery medical devices in an assigned geography. Conduct regular office visits to educate on products, indications, and patient selection criteria, focused on valve portfolio, clinical benefits, and lifetime management. Coordinate and deliver product in-services for clinical staff, as well as develop and service new and established accounts, suggest and presents new products.
What You’ll Work On
Sales & Business Development
- Call on physicians, labs, and hospitals, to promote and sell Abbott medical devices.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase product utilization and market share.
- Assist in launching new products and expanding into low-penetrated accounts.
Customer Engagement & Education
- Present product information to healthcare professionals to drive awareness and adoption.
- Build and maintain relationships with cardiology community and education on patient pathway for treatment options.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to network and stay informed on industry trends.
Field Inventory Management
- Manage consigned inventory across hospitals.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and full inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
- Replenish inventory proactively based on case volume and forecasted demand.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and product offerings.
- Analyze sales statistics and prepare reports to inform strategy.
- Conduct territory analysis and contribute to strategic planning.
Administrative & Compliance
- Complete administrative tasks such as expense reports, scheduling, and travel planning.
- Adhere to company policies, including Travel & Entertainment (T&E), AdvaMed, and Integrity guidelines.
- Participate in all trainings for regulatory, OEC, and clinical purposes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience.
- Proven track record of results and commitment to success.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- High level of coachability, self-motiva
