Position Summary

This role has primary responsibility for the collection, organization, and management of quantitative and qualitative data, conducting data analyses, fulfilling data requests, and creating reports and presentations using data visualization tools, such as Tableau, using both qualitative and quantitative data. Participates in quantitative and qualitative data collection activities, unit and scholarship team meetings, and fulfills data requests that align with role responsibilities. Implements and contributes to the design and planning of medical education research and program evaluation projects.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs descriptive and inferential statistical analyses and qualitative data analyses and prepares these data for presentation through appropriate data visualization: dashboards, tables, and/or graphs.  As necessary, explains, presents, and assists colleagues in understanding results of data analysis. Creates and contributes to written reports and presentations for use by the Office of Education and its units for disseminating findings and driving informed processes.
  • Assists with implementation of Office of Education medical education research and evaluation projects as directed by unit leadership.
  • Assists with designing and evaluating research procedures and activities, developing plans for research projects, preparing IRB protocol submissions, responding to IRB inquiries about applications, and obtaining approvals; and prepares amendments to protocols and/or modifications to study design, as appropriate.
  • Assists in protocol and budget development and dispensing of study funds as appropriate.
  • Creates routine processes for and engages in the collection, management, and preparation of data for analysis.
  • Contributes to the creation, implementation, and management of data collection instruments.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Education to access, collect, and organize data needed for education research and evaluation projects.
  • Creates action items for requests and provides routine updates through unit meetings and in project management software.

Salary Range

$65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
