We are currently seeking a Senior Research Associate-Animal to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Research Associate at ICON, you will be responsible for conducting and managing research projects, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of research objectives.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized administrative and animal research functions in support of Principal and Associate Investigators as well as Administrative Officer within the branch.
• This includes research grant proposal development assistance, experimental planning, data collection, procurement of supplies/equipment, and maintain experimental records.
• Support professional presentations, lead projects at the direction of the principal investigator, as well as assist in the preparation and submission of research progress reports and briefings required to sustain funded research.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using instruments and methods to include but not limited to rodent and large animal TBI models, behavior and physiological testing, histology, neuroimaging, as well as cellular and molecular biology in order to support development of promising therapeutic strategies.
• Perform animal research such as involving handling animals to deliver injections, oral gavage, and subdermal device implantation.
• Collection of biosamples of organs, blood products, other biofluid, and brain tissue.
• Perform animal surgeries including but not limited to surgical preparations, highly specialized surgical procedures, and post-op care and behavior tests.

Your Profile:

• Desired a Master's degree or, in lieu of degree, 10 years of highly relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
