Messina College at Boston College is inviting applications for Part-Time Faculty positions in Business on an open and rolling basis.
Teaching Opportunities in Coding for Business
Coding for Business emphasizes coding literacy based on Python and SQL and teaches coding skills that are relevant for business decision makers. It is a 3-credit course and the expected enrollment is between 17-20 students per section.
In Spring, 2025, two sections of Coding for Business are needed. Classes will meet at the following times:
MWF 2:00 - 2:50
TTh 10:30 - 11:45
Qualifications
Qualifications
Candidates should have experience teaching business, coding, statistics, and/or computer science courses at the college level. A Ph.D. or M.A. in a relevant field or advanced graduate standing will be considered.
Classes will be offered on the Brookline campus of Boston College. Part time faculty receive a competitive salary on a per course basis. In addition, part time faculty at Messina College have shared office space to prepare lectures and meet with students.
About Messina College
Messina College is a new two-year residential college division of Boston College that offers an associate’s degree program for first-generation and low-income students. The program’s goal is to prepare students to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program or begin their professional careers upon graduation. Messina College students live and study on the Brookline Campus of Boston College and have full access to BC’s facilities and programs.
