Shift Requirements: Per Diem 4-hour shifts with Work Hours between: 9:00am-1pm OR am 12:30pm-4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Weekend day shifts possible as the service expands.

General Description of the Job Class
The pharmacy technician will be based at The Plaza Pharmacy inside Duke Raleigh Hospital. The ideal candidate will be performing under supervision a variety of routine and advanced technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures and techniques. They must be able to balance efficiency with accuracy, work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must demonstrate excellence in customer service and teamwork while ensuring all medication needs and regulatory compliance standards are met. The candidate must model behaviors that exemplify our core values of safety, teamwork, excellence, diversity and integrity.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Effectively follow workflow procedure with an in-depth understanding of each area (i.e., prescription receipt, data entry, pick-up, filling) for processing of patient medications. Deliver medications to patient care locations within the hospital, when appropriate.
Assist in training new technicians and students and assist with evaluating their progress as directed. May assist in preparing schedules, setting work priorities and making work assignments as directed. Assist in documentation of specific procedures and quality assurance activities under a pharmacist review.
Assist with processing, ordering, completing Provider office orders.
Receive and triage information requests; research and provide information when and where appropriate. Refer other inquires to the pharmacist. Order, receive and stock
