As the Project Leader, you will provide Project and Initiative leadership for the Research & Development AFC Tampons Product Stewardship Team in Global Research & Development. You will be responsible for leading global projects of significant technical scope (sometimes simultaneously) including product development, materials development, process development and involves collaboration, coordination, and leadership with other functional team members (Marketing, Finance, Product Supply, Engineering, and Materials, etc). You will also provide leadership to innovation programs, supply continuity, and cost saving programs across multiple regions.
In this role, you will:
Provide project leadership for programs of significant technical scope and complexity across multiple regions in technical leadership and BU leadership
Lead a team of 8-15 R&E and cross functional project team members and also be able to drive efforts individually
Leads the cross functional team through innovative processes to solve problems and leverage creative thinking to define new technical approaches
Successfully deliver fast paced projects in a timely, diligent, and professional manner, within defined scope, schedule, and resource authorization
Coach and inspire others by managing technical and material development of team members within the projects
Contribute to building and be a role model to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve and to achieve desired business results
Lead efforts to coordinate and execute tampon innovation growth projects across global tampon manufacturing sites
Carry out all work ensuring effective Safety and Quality practices and procedures.
Seek, recognize, and define problems while leading cross functional teams to drive tampon innovation portfolio objectives forward
Leverage project management tools such as LEAN principles, 4-Step Problem solving sessions, and rapid learning cycles
Manage self in accordance with K-C Ways of working.
Continued learning and coaching of project team members in the FDA regulated Class I and class II product development space
Lead projects while adhering to design control procedure for class II medical device and bringing projects to design control governance leadership team for approval
Lead project communications through e-mail, project updates, and formal management reviews

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a scientific or engineering and 10 years of industry experience with at least 3 years or more in project leadership
Extensive experience in project leadership product, material, or engineering development roles
