SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Performs basic functions of a routine nature. Variety of functions and activities are specific. Entry level position. It is preferred that this person is a person who is in recovery from serious mental illness and/or substance use. Positive interpersonal skills are critical for this position.
Compensation: between $13.13 and $15.65 per hour (rate is increased depending on years of experience).
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with intake procedures and consults with program aide specialists prior to completing intake into the program.
- Perform reception duties, accurately take messages, and give appropriate directions to clients and the general public; assist all visitors, clients, and staff in processing their inquiries.
- Responds to clients’ needs during open hours at the Peer Center.
- Orients clients to the Peer Center rules and addresses client non-compliance as necessary to create a safe and secure environment for other residents.
- Performs office administration duties, including running reports for data collection, assist with billing and authorization requirements for multiple programs.
- Develops/maintains a welcoming, trauma informed atmosphere.
- Able to engage clients in their own recovery journey.
- Supports independent living skill development.
- Provides concerns to program staff regarding client activities and needs daily.
- Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Agency.
- Cooperates and collaborates with program area staff, volunteers, and other Agency staff.
- Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
- Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
- Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
- Creates, maintains, and shares an appropriate and dynamic self-care plan.
- Essential functions of this job are to be performed on company physical work site.
- Performs other program related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- Previous human service experience desirable, but not required
- In recovery from serious mental illness and/or substance use is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license/ acceptable driving record
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products/Programs and basic office equipment
