Uses computer aided drafting software to document the architectural changes. Provides sufficient information to establish a rough order of magnitude estimate of the project. Informs and negotiates with project sponsors (usually professors) to manage costs by providing alternatives to make grants successful before application.

  • Project Monitoring: Monitors the delivery of assigned projects to completion and ensures project outcomes remain aligned with the original objectives, schedule, budget and quality. Works closely with the Project Management Team at Facilities to manage these requirements. Identifies project issues and risks during the project execution; and negotiates means to return a project back on track; decides when to escalate to direct supervisor for guidance or resolution. Attends project meetings, and coordinates construction activities with all affected laboratories (incl. shutdowns whose effect exceeds the construction area).

  • Project Support: Supports Planners and Project Managers by liaising with project sponsors to gather and/or edit information such as project expectations, specifications, and plans. Participates and provides support at different stages of projects by monitoring project progress, ensuring follow-up and communications are clear and efficient with all affected parties.
