Veterinary Assistant - Eldorado Gaming, Scioto Downs

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• All duties associated with the upkeep of the test barn.
• Collection and sealing of horse urine samples
• Understand and practice Family Style Service at all times with all guest and team members.
• All other duties as assigned.

 

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

The test barn technician shall be responsible for the collection and sealing of horse urine samples in accordance with chain of custody procedures and adhering to test barn operational procedures.  Working hours and days are designated by the Racing Secretary in concurrence with scheduled post time. Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.
