Sigma Defense's Contracts organization is a trusted business partner managing customer relationships, negotiating agreements, supporting growth initiatives, and providing regulatory knowledge to our internal and external customers. In addition to challenging day to day assignments, staff members are encouraged to pursue special projects, participate in formal and informal mentoring programs and networking events, and rotate into different roles with increasing levels of responsibility. We are seeking a Sr. Contracts Administrator to join our team. Travel will be required as needed depending on contracts.
Requirements
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree in business, administration, law, or related field is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of representing the organization as a primary contact on contract matters with program teams, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Exemplify a strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
- Must have a sound working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS as well as experience with different contract types (e.g., CPFF, T&M, FFP, etc.).
- Previous proposal support experience in delivering prime contract offerings to the Government, and subcontract proposals to prime contractors.
- 5-7 years of previous federal contract administration experience; ideally in support of a defense contractor.
- Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- This is a hybrid position - Candidate must be able to work remotely, and on-site in San Diego, CA.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Working knowledge of Organizational Conflict of Interests (OCIs), and familiarity with performing internal OCI sweeps and development of OCI Mitigation Plans.
- Intellectual Property rights.
- GSA Schedule administration.
- Experience with JAMIS Prime ERP.
- Possess or be eligible for a Secret level DoD clearance.
Essential Job Responsibilities (Not all-inclusive)
- Have a strong background and understanding of the US Government Acquisition and Procurement environment to include the FAR and DFARS, commercial contracting methods, export regulations (i.e., ITAR and EAR) and other government regulations.
- Perform all aspects of contract administration from cradle to grave, including, but not limited to, contract review, negotiation, execution of contract documents, interface with customer contracting officers, support contract deliverable requirements, and administer closeout procedures.
- Independently lead and support proposal activities including, but not limited to, analysis of solicitations, development of contractual/business
