Job Description
The Quality Engineer III offers a set of methodologies, processes, and principles that help an agile Salesforce/nCino team establish, maintain, improve, and achieve a certain level of quality for its product. A Quality Engineer III is responsible for developing processes, testing procedures, and implementing systems to ensure that products and processes comply with regulatory requirements while meeting clients’ expectations.
From a software development perspective, it is the management, development, operation, and maintenance of IT systems and enterprise architectures with a high-quality standard. Starting with the initial product concept through the development stages, a quality engineer is involved; ensuring the product created has the highest level of quality without defects. How You'll Spend Your Time
• You will ensure adherence and drive defining/refining tasks outlined in test strategy, planning, and defect management process documentation.
• You will drive and continually review the systems, processes, and procedures against the quality standards to ensure the highest integrity of the product.
• You will develop and maintain test suites across Salesforce/nCino application platforms to mitigate risk of failures and ensure consistent product quality.
• You will drive processes for triaging reported defects to maintain a healthy backlog.
• You will analyze, create, and implement preventive measures using innovative actionable metrics that help drive improved defect detection and reduce escaped defects.
• You will validate completion of quality documentation and artifact tasks to support adherence to audit processes and procedures.
Education & Experience Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Information Technology or related field of study and/or 7-9 years of directly related experience in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS:
• Advanced research and troubleshooting skills
• Proficient experience testing a Salesforce application
• Advanced understanding of software coding principles/standards and architecture
• Proficient working in a DevSecOps environment
• Advanced experience with Gherkin/BDD
• Advanced attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Agile SDLC
• Advanced experience with API testing
• Solid understanding of software coding principles/standards
• Excellent understanding of data structures, data modeling, and design experience
• Test data creation and maintenance
• Experience in the successful implementation of TDD or BDD
