Job Summary

The Corporate Intern will develop a solid understanding of the department they are in as well as the overall business.  The internship aims to provide our interns with challenging, real-world projects specific to their career path. Works within the department on day-to-day projects; projects will include but not be limited to activities related to business analysis, project management, change management, and other assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Works within the department on day-to-day projects; which include but are not limited to activities related to process development, continuous improvement, data support, stakeholder management, project planning, timeline creation, budget tracking, reporting, documentation, and other assigned responsibilities.
  • Builds relationships through meetings, events and one-on-ones with various employee-owners and leaders.
  • Focuses on real-world projects within the department.
  • Collaborates with various departments throughout the company and with all management levels.
  • Prepares and compiles documentation and spreadsheets to support project status reporting.
  • Attends project meetings to capture information and action items.
  • Documents and processes change request order, risks, issues and decisions.

Nonessential Functions

  • Requests information from project participants, as necessary. 
  • Assists in data entry into Smartsheet and related SharePoint project site.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate.

Qualifications

  • Current student or new graduate (within last year) in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
  • Strong knowledge of business office procedures, office equipment operation, data entry/keyboarding skills and communication systems helpful.
  • Strong knowledge of PC for Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of project fundamentals preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, reading, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize.
  • Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
