Role Description
A Warehouse Team Member is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and picking the materials used in the manufacturing of nutritional supplements. The duties include loading/unloading shipments, receiving shipments into our inventory management systems, following quality procedures for the safe handling of ingredients, and keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
Responsibilities:
- Keep all warehouses clean and organized.
- Receive and document incoming shipments.
- Sample incoming raw materials for quality assurance testing.
- Print and apply internal lot coding labels to all raw materials and packaging items.
- Pick and kit raw materials needed for the following day’s production.
- Physically transfer raw materials and finished goods between multiple warehouses.
- Load and document outgoing LTL and full truckload shipments.
Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
Qualifications:
- Forklift Certified – Familiarity with a forklift is a must.
- Active listening – Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Mathematics – Using basic mathematics to solve problems.
- English Reading Comprehension – Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Time Management – Managing one’s own time and not wasting the time of others.
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of 12 feet.
- Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to 50lbs unassisted.
- Warehousing team members spend a great deal of time on their feet and generally work a regular 40-hour week plus scheduled overtime and may include evening or weekend shifts.
- Work in a warehouse environment where negative elements are present to a moderate degree, including exposure to outside weather conditions, indoor elements such as temperature extremes, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in [California] Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
Base Pay Range: $20.00 - $32.90
