Senior Financial Analyst (Remote in the U.S.)

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making through financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to provide strategic insights that enhance company performance. Partnering with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Accounting, HR), the Senior Financial Analyst helps optimize financial efficiency and support the company’s overall growth. Serves as a go-to resource, independently delivering accurate financial analyses, provides clear insights into the company’s financial health, and ensures key deliverables are managed effectively with little oversight.
Core Duties
- Support Finance team, with a mix of regular cadence and ad hoc projects, focusing on month-end close, budgeting and forecasting
- Play a key role in planning and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and providing strategic insights.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision making, including:
- Developing, updating, and utilizing financial forecast models
- Contributing to key deliverables for month-end close, forecasting and annual planning
- Prepare presentation materials with commentary on business driver variances to budget and prior year
- Create and improve financial reports using Power Pivot, Power BI or other internal systems
- Compile, analyze and leverage accounting and operational data to drive informed decisions (ad hoc analyses)
- Assisting in financial reporting automation, process efficiencies and maintenance within company systems
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively with a focus on timeliness, and accuracy
- Ability to interpret data and troubleshoot performance issues
- Able to work through ambiguity
- Strong follow-through and ability to operate with a sense of urgency
