About the role

What You'll DoWe are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS that extends through 2026 and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. Come join our diverse and growing team with lots of opportunities! The selected candidate will join an existing team providing development support with COTS Integration to Security Sustainment applications. The role requires a self-motivated individual that is comfortable working in a team environment. In addition to development support, the selected candidate will troubleshoot application issues, collaborate with the vendor, and provide configuration management support. The position will require working in a fast-paced team and a willingness to take on challenges to upgrade or modify sustainment systems. The position is required to utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment and consistent with CMS’ DevOps objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Four (4) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree for a total of ten (10) years of experience
  • Experience with Java and JavaScript programming
  • Proficient in Linux
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation  

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with Git for source code management
  • Experience working in an Agile Development Team
  • System Administration background
  • Experience managing the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements definition, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph RequiredU.S. Citizenship Required
