Job Description

The Program Manager (PgM) for Compute Platform Continuous Integration Pipelines will serve a key role in ensuring that Product Plan and Roadmap aligns with this vision for Continuous Integration and will be responsible for creating and delivering on a corresponding Execution Plan. 

The PgM will be a decisive leader who is comfortable negotiating with key stakeholders and communicating with customers. Their passion for their products and ability to listen and learn will guide them and others through changing scope and setbacks. The PgM is responsible for leading and working with others to define and execute the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet our customer needs over the product-market lifecycle.  The Program Manager has a customer centric mindset, makes plans, leads by example, and utilizes design thinking principles and practices to guide their decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Leaders, System Engineers and other stakeholders as needed to understand and organize in order to deliver customer products.  Collaborative works will include:

    • Lead programs from requirements definition though deployment, identifying schedules, scopes and implementation plans including risk mitigation

    • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget

    • Analyze and report program status and when necessary, revise the scope, schedule or budget to ensure program objectives can be met with quality

    • Lead process creation and documentation for program-related activities

    • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders providing day-to-day contact on program status and changes

    • Create and manage core documentation for product lifecycle directly in tracking tools

  • Facilitator and key participant of the Product Team

    • Work with the Product Team to process and execute epics

    • Identify and manage dependencies within and external to the product area

    • Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities with Product Managers, Engineering Leaders and System Engineers

    • Quantify, maintain, and communicate product team capacity & capacity utilization

    • Quantify, maintain, and support funding needs for various requests

    • Represent and support the Product Team during Product Sync, Product Strategy Meetings and Program Readiness Reviews

Key Deliverables:

  • Develop and maintain the execution plan containing epics and enablers aligned with the Enterprise

  • Quantify and maintain product timing plan aligned with Enterprise and vehicle program feature rollout plan

  • Prepare and present product status report at Product Readiness Review every 10 weeks

  • Resource estimation and allocation for product teams

  • Feature decomposition and dependency analysis

  • Support Product Team Meetings & Program Meetings

  • Support product roadmap study requests and hot issue resolutions

Minimum Required Skills and Experience:

  • BSE, BS in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering

  • 2+ years of Automotive experience with demonstrated technical and professional skills in Systems Engineering, Embedded Controls Development and/or Program Management such as:

    • Understanding of automotive mechanical systems, electrical and electronic components, mechatronics, distributed control systems, serial data and software architectural concepts

    • Systems Engineering mindset

    • Familiar with 1 or more architectural domains; embedded controls, platform infrastructure, and platform virtualization and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD)

    • Familiar with the embedded controls and software development process including familiarity with expectations and timing for deliverables required to develop and deploy the product

  • Proficient at analyzing unusual and complex design challenges to make data driven decisions in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment

  • Highly developed oral and written communications skills to collaborate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders, leaders, engineering staffs and co-workers

  • High level of interpersonal skills for leading, motivating, actively listen
