About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Senior Business Execution Consultant to support strategic initiatives, financial reporting, data analytics, and daily operations within the Mergers & Acquisitions (“M&A”) group. This position will coordinate with partners across Wells Fargo to provide project execution and strategic analyses leveraging financial and market share data. The M&A team partners across our industry-aligned coverage model, coordinating with Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Energy & Power, Financial Institutions, Industrials, Technology, Media, and Telecommunications, and Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging and Leisure. This role will be critical in the implementation of the overall CIB and M&A strategies via the planning and facilitation of supporting initiatives within a dynamic growing investment banking team.

The Senior Business Execution Consultant will support the M&A Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) and the M&A Executive Management team in establishing business and client priorities and will be collaborating with the broader Wells Fargo organization to help run the day-to-day operations of the business. This role provides mission-critical operational support to fast-paced, high priority M&A transactions with both public and private clients, serving as a central communication point for the client-facing execution teams.


In this role, you will:

  • Master the full M&A operational lifecycle and provide hands-on support to deal teams
  • Prepare thoughtful data driven presentations for business reviews with senior management
  • Implement strategic initiatives and ensure consistent messaging and guidance to bankers
  • Ensure pipeline and market share data accuracy by monitoring performance and analyzing the competitive landscape
  • Assist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experience
  • Lead efficiency optimization projects in conjunction with WF technology teams
  • Provide leadership in management of relationships and implementation of programs, services, and initiatives with cross functional business partners (including Finance, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Business Continuity, Marketing, and Communications)

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in corporate & investment banking
  • Ability to develop operational reporting and perform complex data analysis
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, accounting, and modeling concepts
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to develop partnerships and effectively collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills


Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Ability to work outside of regular business hours
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Visa sponsorship is not available

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$100,800.00 - $179,200.00
