Job Description

The Digital Strategy Manager will assist the Director, Digital Strategy and Program Management (Marketing Strategy team) on the Path to Digital Customer Leader (DCL) program. The individual will collaborate closely with the segment DCL team, as well as other segment PMs to govern the overall program and report on program status and outcome tracking, including funding and critical metric/benefits. This will also include working closely with functional groups to track and ensure delivery against their digital roadmaps in alignment with the global digital transformation strategy.  


Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight - Provide support to the DCL Program Director to collate the ongoing view of the program financials, outcome tracking and any issues, risks and blockers requiring immediate action or intervention 

  • Executive Reporting - Develop executive level presentations and reports to communicate progress, achievements and challenges related to the program and ability to meet business objectives 

  • Work with channels to collect and synthesize information to support leadership decision-making - Support the coordination and management of projects across Manulife Investment Management including follow ups on additional information required from project managers/ product leads based on asks from the global or segment DCL leadership team 

  • Maintain digital roadmap views – Partner with channel and functional groups to refine, improve, update and promote successful delivery of their digital roadmaps  

  • Business case / ODF support - Provide required support to ensure that Governance model is being implemented in the most efficient manner and is updated/ refined on an ongoing basis based on learning from ongoing execution, and in adherence to the Manulife Outcome Delivery Framework where applicable 

  • Identify areas for process and technology improvements – partner with key business and IT partners/collaborators to enable process and technology improvements that will enable the right customer experience to meet business goals 

  • Advocate for continuous improvement and learning - Work collaboratively with the other segment and Global teams to proactively share information and foster continued learning and development, facilitating continuous improvement

What we are looking for

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with proven ability to engage collaborators across multiple levels of the organization 

  • At least 5-7 years Project and Program delivery experience – preferably in the financial services, wealth management or insurance industry 

  • Confirmed digital competence and experience in prioritizing and handling multiple initiatives simultaneously 

  • Ability to facilitate and enable clear, succinct communication between cross-functional partners 

  • Strong relationship-building skills to build effective working relationships with business leaders 

  • Ability to identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement across the program 

  • Experience in Agile ways of working, with a strong outcome driven focus 

  • Excellent comprehension, analytical and decision-making skills 

  • Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail 

  • Highly organized and ability to multi-task 

  • Flexibility to lead multiple and challenging priorities 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PM tools 

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP will be a big plus 

  • Experience working on large scale digital transformation programs will
