About the role

Description

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of medications to our patients. The ideal candidate will have an excellent driving record, necessary registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.


Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently deliver pharmaceutical supplies and medications to patients.
  • Ensure accurate and timely deliveries, verifying order accuracy and completeness.
  • Detail-oriented to keep track of deliveries, record orders, and confirm customer identity
  • Must be able to maintain accurate recordkeeping. General knowledge of tablet technology to process orders and deliveries.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers during deliveries.
  • Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Be comfortable driving in different types of weather conditions.
  • Keep an organized delivery schedule and route to optimize efficiency. We do have software systems in place to help map out your daily route.
  • Communicate effectively with the pharmacy team regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during deliveries.
  • Daily communication with patients to plan routes for the following day.
  • Keep the delivery vehicle clean and in good working condition.

Requirements

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in Spanish and English (preferred)
  • Registration with the NC Board of Pharmacy or ability to obtain registration promptly.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and pharmacy staff.
  • Experience in a delivery or courier role is a plus, or experience in a pharmacy is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GPS systems and ability to read maps.
  • Physical ability to lift and move packages as needed.
