Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for Certification Engineers with a broad range of experience to join our Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This role will manage various Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and ODA activities. The Boeing Company ODA STC office supports the FAA certification of modifications to multiple platforms ranging from military tankers to VIP executive transport aircraft. This position requires existing understanding of the FAA 14 CFR Part 25 to develop approaches to address certification challenges and manage certification of STC projects. This position will assist the assigned ODA Project Administrator with everyday tasks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) programs on behalf of the ODA

  • Coordinates with program engineering and multiple discipline organizations to ensure successful execution

  • Manages Unit Member (UM) priorities

  • Manages certification tasks on behalf of the FAA

  • Develops Type Certification Board materials

  • Manages FAA correspondence and meeting minutes

  • Finalizes certification issue reviews to assure proposals are ready for FAA review

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location option. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note: The expectation is 3 days a week onsite.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 1 or more years' of experience in an engineering job classification

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in FAA certification

  • Experience working with Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA)

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standar
