About the role

TEAM LEAD
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to train, coach, and lead a team of night transfer drivers. The ideal candidate will serve as a backup driver when necessary and ensure that all operations run smoothly throughout the night shift. Does this sound interesting?

Want to know if you are a good fit? If so, you will meet the following criteria:
• Train, Coach and Lead: Develop and mentor a team of night transfer drivers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Back up Driver: Step in as a driver when needed to ensure seamless operations.
• Attention to Detail: Exercise meticulous attention to detail to help load trucks and assign routes correctly.
• Manage Schedule Changes: Adapt and manage last-minute changes to schedules efficiently.
• Create and Update Processes: Develop, implement, and refine processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Continuous Improvement: Promote a philosophy of continuous improvement within the team and operations.
• Availability: Be reachable throughout the shift to assist drivers and address any issues that arise.
• Safety Mindset: Uphold and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Strong Communication: Utilize strong communication skills to effectively interact with drivers, management, and other stakeholders.

Role Requirements:
• High School/GED or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a logistics or transportation setting
• 3+ years warehouse and/or transportation experience
• CDLA required
• Excellent driving record and ability to serve as a backup driver.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and adapt to changing schedules and circumstances.
• Experience in creating and refining operational processes and procedures.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Dedication to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality control standards
• Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts/schedules
• Computer literacy with experience in Eclipse or WMS; Microsoft Office preferred
