What we do:
Our team of Psychiatry Providers and Mental Health Therapists treat all mental health and substance use disorders to a patient population of age 6 and up. Our philosophy is to incorporate all areas of care into a patient's well-being. We believe in a “no wrong door” treatment model that finds ways to say “yes” to any patient referral rather than a multitude of exclusionary criteria found elsewhere.
Position Overview:
Virtual and/or In-person Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor providing direct patient engagement and supervisory oversight in outpatient clinic setting for Ascend’s service lines and any additional service lines as determined. Specializing in the counseling onboarding process and clinical engagement and documentation.
Key Areas of Ownership:
- Directly responsible for the provision of direct patient care within the assigned setting.
- Manages assigned caseload by establishing priorities and balancing quantity and quality issues to ensure timely delivery and coordination of treatment services.
- Directly responsible for the supervision, staffing and coordination of clinical employees within the program’s service lines and other service lines as directed.
- Ensure required clinical engagements are completed (intakes, CFT’s, ISP’s, re-engagement efforts, therapy sessions, etc.) and timeliness of each are adhered to from a compliance standpoint.
- Provide assistance to management including training staff and keeping the management team updated on each employees’ performance.
- Communicates clear expectations to the counseling and intake teams and holds each employee appropriately accountable.
- Demonstrates proficiency and care coordination between behavioral health and medical integration.
- Direct involvement with the multidisciplinary team including BHMPs, therapists, Peer Support Specialists, Care Coordinators, and all other treatment team members.
- Conducts ongoing chart reviews to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Acts as a point of contact/clinical expert on complex clinical and team management issues.
- Identifies staff’s clinical and professional development needs; works collaboratively with the Leadership team to implement appropriate education and training programs.
- Participates in the investigation and follow up on patient complaints to ensure timely response and/or appropriate resolution to concerns/issues.
- Follows all policies and procedures of the Program.
- Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training, and quality
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted independent mental health license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in state of primary residence and state of medical services being provided
