YOUR MISSION

Glovo keeps growing day after day, that's why we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Sr. Lawyer that will work with the Italian Legal Team of the company and with the HQ legal team on managing the day to day implications in the business.

THE JOURNEY

  • Have a 360º role, providing legal support and guidance across all departments of the business
  • Commercial and Consumer Law: Provide strategic advice and assessment on the launch of new verticals, projects, commercial activities, and operational challenges across the organization. Review, analyse, negotiate and draft all kind of contracts and agreements with all the players involved in the business ecosystem
  • Labour expertise: Manage requests and inspections from labor authorities, while also developing strategies and preparing cases for labor jurisdiction trials in collaboration with external lawyers 
  • Governance, risk, and compliance: contribute to the drafting and revision of local policies and procedures while ensuring their effective local implementation. Develop and deliver training programs on compliance-related documents, working closely with global stakeholders. Lead internal assessments, investigations, and mitigation efforts. 
  • Expertise in Legislative Decree 231/2001: ensure compliance with legislative requirements, provide strategic counsel on risk mitigation, and advise on the implementation and maintenance of 231/2001-compliant practices (including drafting protocols and liaising with the Supervisory Body). 
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a problem-solving mindset—resolve unforeseen challenges through hands-on involvement and proactive solutions 
  • Take ownership of complex and cross-departmental legal projects, ensuring their successful delivery while collaborating with and managing inputs from various internal teams. 
  • Manage growing responsibilities, such as independently handling projects and coordinating other legal team members on complex tasks and initiatives. 
  • This role requires a candidate ready to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment, balancing strategic vision with meticulous attention to legal compliance. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills are critical for success.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • At least 7 years of combined in-house counsel and law firm experience with proven track record in employment law, commercial contracts and corporate law
  • Native Italian speaker
  • Advanced English (speaking and drafting)
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus 
  • Knowledge of other fields of law (litigation and data protection are a plus)
  • Highly motivated in the world of start-ups and new technologies
  • Problem solver, Multitasking, Thinking out of the box, Organized and detail-oriented person
  • International profile, able to work in a flexible, collaborative, and multidisciplinary environment
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
