About the role

You resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 Grade Level or equivalent Pay Band in the Federal Service performing most of the following duties: (1) Applying theories, concepts, principles, standards and methods of aerospace, mechanical and/or materials engineering to provide engineering and technical support of fixed wing, rotary wing, and/or vertical flight, aircraft structures and aircraft subsystem and to coordinate structural (stress) analysis methods and techniques, industrial processes, maintenance concepts and operation plans for such aircraft systems, structures, and subsystems; (2) Planning and conducting engineering investigations to identify, plan, evaluate and prescribe corrective action for air vehicle deficiencies/incidents; (3) Overseeing project/program management to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements for an aviation program; (4) Coordinating work assignments for engineering or non-technical personnel based on assigned program initiatives and agency needs; and (5) Performing supervisory and administrative responsibilities for assigned subordinates.
