Senior Fullstack Engineer (Optimization and Triggers)

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer in team Autopsy, you will be responsible for building various automatization and optimization tools that help us save our customers time and money while decreasing the amount of manual work needed to build effective advertising campaigns. Our team owns a few cool services:

• Triggers - a rule-based optimization service that allows users to run scheduled actions, like changing statuses and budgets of ad campaigns across multiple media platforms.
• Ad Rotation - a service battling ad fatigue by automatically rotating ads based on past performance. 
• Smartly Actions and Action Router - a layer of abstraction and a microservice, which routes edit changes to the media platforms.

Team Autopsy currently has a team of 6 engineers, engineering manager and a product manager. We are an independent fullstack team operating in the middle of the Smartly product, so communication and collaboration with others teams, product managers and designers is a key  We use Typescript, NodeJS with NestJS and Koa, PostgreSQL, Redis and Kubernetes to name a few. Our frontend is using the industry standard React with TypeScript. We are a data heavy team, so we rely heavily on Typescript and even have our own large set of TypeScript definitions that is used across the whole company.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer in Autopsy, you will:

• Be involved in making decisions around technical and architectural choices. 
• Design, build and maintain our microservices and frontend components. 
• Work  closely with other teams contributing to Smartly target architecture.
• Contribute to planning of our features making sure that solutions are sound from both customer and technical perspective, both now and in the long run. 

What we're looking for:

• Backend focused fullstack engineer. We expect you to have solid experience developing microservices with technologies like Typescript and NodeJS as well as in building React apps.
• Master of tests. Unit, e2e, integration tests are not just words for you and you have experience with test frameworks such as Jest.
• Communication is key. Working in the team includes a lot of cross-team collaboration and solid coordination skills. Ability to share knowledge and mentor juniors is also expected. 
• You are curious by nature. We have a very dynamic environment and in  order to succeed you need to be able to take ownership of your success. We expect you to be autonomous and ask the right questions.
• You are a true engineer. You don't think just in terms of stories. You think in terms of customer value and completing the objective. You are able to plan and execute work items as large as Epics.
• Ability and willingness to work from our Helsinki office three days a week.
