Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Business Services Advisors with all daily activities to support consistent member experience, team engagement, sales goals and operational accuracy.
• Conducts periodic observations and provide ongoing training to enhance team knowledge, skills, and alignment with lending policies, market trends, and regulatory changes
• Maintain procedures and policy for business lending.
• Direct and evaluate Business Services Advisor performance through coaching, training, and reviews to achieve production and referral goals.
• Manage the Business Services Advisor performance through coaching, training, and reviews to achieve production and referral goals.
• Recommend workflow and process improvements in collaboration with other departments and branches.
• Provide support across all areas of Business Services as needed.
• Oversee the origination process for commercial and small business loans, ensuring that loan applications meet SCCU’s lending criteria, risk tolerance, and member needs.
• Evaluate creditworthiness of business clients through thorough risk analysis, recommending loan approvals and appropriate terms.
• Set individual and team performance goals, monitor progress, and prepare regular reports on lending performance, including origination, delinquencies, and portfolio quality.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance, addressing risks and potential defaults to maintain a healthy risk-return balance.
• Ensure proper documentation is collected and maintained for each loan.
• Collaborate with AVP to develop and execute strategies for meeting commercial lending goals.
• Stay informed on lending laws, regulations, and industry trends.

Minimum Requirements

Education and Training:

• Two-year college or associate’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, business related field, specialized certification or equivalent experience. 

 Prior Experience:

• 5-8 years banking or commercial business development or marketing, retail sales, sales management experience required.

Schedule:

• Full Time during department hours of operation
• Monday - Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm. 
• Flex Scheduling and Work From Home Hybrid options available.
