Principal Data Analyst, Trust and Safety, Search

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 10 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in relevant field.
  
• Experience working with engineering and product teams to create tools, solutions, or automation to improve user safety.
  
• Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python).
• Experience with machine learning.
• Experience working closely with policy teams.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in a fluid environment.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The Search team within Trust and Safety is recruiting web-savvy individuals to work with cutting-edge technologies to keep users safe and improve the quality of Google's Search results. As part of this team, you will develop and manage cross-functional relationships with Engineering, Product, Legal and Operations teams to improve our processes for identifying and resolving policy and quality issues on Search. You are a tactical leader responsible for the end-to-end execution of complex projects with various groups of stakeholders. You are proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, innovative, and thrive in a fluid environment.

You will understand the user's point of view and are passionate about using your combined technical and business acumen to protect our users.You will be responsible to analyze market trends, set forward-looking strategy, and implement scaled solutions to solve user safety and quality issues, to ensure a high-quality user experience across Search products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $160,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
