About the Role:
The Director of Learning and Development will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all learning and development initiatives within Motive. This role will play a critical role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and drive organizational growth. The Director of Learning and Development will work closely with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads, and individual contributors, to identify training needs, develop learning programs, and measure their effectiveness.The Director will report directly to the Chief People officer and be located in the US.

What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
- Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and create learning programs tailored to different roles and levels within the organization
- Design and deliver high-quality learning experiences, including instructor-led training, e-learning modules, workshops, and other innovative learning formats
- Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors, ensuring that programs meet the company's standards and budget requirements
- Establish and maintain a learning management system (LMS) to track and manage employee training activities, progress, and completion
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of learning programs to measure their effectiveness and make necessary improvements
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance team member engagement and performance
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred)
- Proven experience (minimum 7-10 years) in learning and development, preferably within the software or technology industry
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning program evaluation
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering a variety of training programs, including e-learning, classroom-based training, and blended learning approaches
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to analyze training needs, develop learning strategies, and measure the impact of learning initiatives
- Knowledge of software development processes and technologies is highly desirable
- Professional certifications in instruction
