Project Manager

The PENTA Building Group is seeking Project Managers to join our team in Rohnert Park, CA!

The Project Manager is accountable for the successful completion of the projects they are assigned to, working hand in hand with the Superintendent. This position entails oversight of the Project Engineers on the team and managing the contractual relationship between the subcontractors and PENTA.


To perform this role successfully, the ideal candidate will: 

• Understand OSHA requirements & the company's safety policies and procedures.
• Work as a team with Superintendent and Safety Manager to ensure safety program is supported.
• Develop and tailor project specific responsibilities for project team.
• Set guidelines & procedures and ensures operational compliance.
• Operate as the main point of contact with Owner and develop a strong professional relationship.
• Conduct Annual Performance Reviews for Project Engineers and Contract Administrators.
• Set up and run OAC meetings and project team meetings.
• Actively mentor Project Engineers.
• Analyze and negotiate contract scope of work.
• Consolidate the contract estimate into the budget. Develop the schedule of values and cost reports.
• Continually review and update project budget.
• Identify scope changes that constitute Subcontractor Change Orders and Prime Contract Change Orders.
• Work with General Superintendent to manage and coordinate project schedules.
• Manage, coordinate, and/or resolve changes or RFI’s within a timely manner.
• Understand insurance requirements like Builders Risk and CCIP.
• Work with Contract Admin in compiling the monthly Pay Application using standard AIA format.
• Perform all other duties as assigned that may not be listed here.

We trust that you have: 

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a construction Project Manager managing cost review/tracking is required.
• 1-5 years of experience on commercial construction projects; hospitality and/or tribal casino construction projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista for cost review/tracking is highly preferred. 
• Positive attitude and eagerness to embrace new technology and tools in the industry.
• Ability to lead, and the desire to teach and mentor Project Engineers and Field employees.
• Flexibility to travel to or fully relocate to Rohnert Park, CA for this project if not within local reasonable commuting distance.
• Salary Range DOE $100,000 - $130,000

The pay range may differ in other locations. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors and is in good faith and/or offer for this position.
