Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

It is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.

  • Under general direction of department leadership, utilizes Kronos time and attendance system to maintain appropriate procedures for implementation of advanced master scheduling for the assigned department.
  • Creates schedules and fills scheduled vacancies
  • Data entry of all Kronos changes/updates
  • Staffing sheet review and entry of all changes to insure UET/Reserve/Floating is appropriately coded
  • Reviews payroll for excessive overtime
  • Assists with data collection for presentation of department financial indicators and staffing related data.
  • Creates  and maintains spreadsheets as needed
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • Demonstrates and documented strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good telephone etiquette and demonstrates appropriate time management skills.
  • Ability to do accurate and precise work.
  • Perform variety of clerical duties and work well in stressful situations.
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed.

Education/Experience Required
 

  • Computer skills - Word, Power Point, Excel, graphics and spreadsheets. Type/keyboard at 35 wpm.
  • Experience in healthcare environment. Preferably with scheduling.
  • Previous experience in secretarial/business support role.
  • High School graduate with ability to read, write and perform math at the 12th grade level.
  • Computer competency exam required.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Frequent keyboard and telephone use. Constant concentration and problem solving.
