About the Role

The Director, Crunchyroll Channel will drive development and management of the Crunchyroll Channel (linear TV) in key markets globally, in concert with internal and external partners, delivering on and contributing to content and user acquisition strategy.

They will closely partner with the distribution, programming, operations, and marketing organizations in support of global commerce objectives as well as the corporate objectives across all divisions.

The Director, Crunchyroll Channel reports to the VP, Global Content Distribution.

• Competent in leading and managing projects
• Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate issues and report project status to a diverse non-technical audience
• Must be detail oriented, quality driven, straightforward, self-motivated and proactive
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years’ work experience within the streaming/media/television or a related industry
• Knowledge of and a passion for anime, manga and Japanese pop culture is a plus

A day in the life of the Director, Crunchyroll Channel:

• Work within a team located across the NORAM region
• Lead Crunchyroll Channel development focusing on content-market fit in order to meet audience growth goals.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to grow distribution of Crunchyroll Channel into more markets and households
• Establish and own industry relationships with development partners and other external stakeholders.
• Partner with Crunchyroll’s Business Analytics team to develop data strategies for Channel
• Partner with Marketing and other stakeholders to develop stunts and strategies to grow viewership and engagement, delivering on our strategic objectives.
• Manage routing deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
• Manage internal processes to ensure compliance with content owners’ guidelines, approvals processes, and other reporting requirements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Crunchyroll Channel, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed and up to date.
• Manage budgets and identify financial efficiencies.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Channel meets its engagement and revenue goals
• Lead the creation of persuasive presentations in order to sell through ideas and concepts to network stakeholders
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop content strategies, including programming road map, consulting clients on technologies, presenting marketplace trends, providing recommendations, and leading definition of future opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned and as the role and business grows.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
