Student - CEO Intern (Bulldog Enterprises-Entrepreneurship Program)

Bulldog Enterprises* is looking for our first-ever Chief Executive Officer (CEO) intern! This is a new and exciting opportunity to get real-life experience leading and managing multiple businesses within Bulldog Enterprises. The CEO will play a critical role in shaping the future business strategies and overseeing the overall health of our organization, plus investigating new ventures and providing leadership to the executive intern team. *Note: Bulldog Enterprises is the newly-formed organization within Butler Entrepreneurship that oversees student-run, university-owned businesses, such as Chimba Bowls, Blue’s Closet, and Butler Brew.
General Leadership
- Develop corporate strategic plan and approve business operating plans
- Oversee shared resources across the businesses
- Supervise general administration at the corporate level
- Advocate and bring awareness across campus at all levels of Bulldog Enterprises
- Work with executive team and business leaders to set and evaluate performance goals
- Work with key Butler University personnel to align best practices and strategic objectives
- Identify and analyze potential opportunities and risks for each enterprise
Strategic Business Development
- Fulfill vision, mission, and strategy of Bulldog Enterprises
- Investigate and validate new enterprise ideas
- Work with the executive team members and other partners to develop business plan proposals
- Present ideas and business plans to Bulldog Enterprises Board of Directors
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Represent Bulldog Enterprises at all related events and day-to-day with students, faculty, staff, and the community
- Coordinate and lead regular leadership meetings
- Provide an enterprise-wide update with overall company performance and future plans
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within Bulldog Enterprises
- Manage stakeholder relations
Required Qualifications:
- Current student at Butler University
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Prior leadership in a business setting or student organization
- Ability to delegate effectively and manage multiple priorities
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Demonstrates a high level of dedication to Bulldog Enterprises
Preferred Qualifications:
- Junior/Senior student
- Prior leadership experience within Bulldog Enterprises or the Butler Entrepreneurship program
- Proven ability to lead a large team
- Strong presentation skills
- Previous strategic planning experience
