Introducing Zinc Network (Zinc):
Zinc Network is a B-Corp certified business dedicated to meaningful, measurable change. We are headquartered in London with offices in Washington, D.C., Tbilisi, and Warsaw with 80+ team members from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
Zinc works with a broad range of governmental, NGO, and private sector clients, including the UK Home Office (HO); the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO); the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); the U.S. Department of State (DOS); UN agencies and missions; and foundations.
About the role:
The Senior Social Content Producer has responsibility for developing and creating engaging, innovative content, which helps our target audiences to understand a range of issues relating to the conflict in Ukraine. As this content is likely to cover video, infographics and other static social graphic formats, you’ll need to be an all-rounder who is as comfortable working with Adobe Premiere or similar video editing software, as you are with InDesign, Photoshop or even Canva. In short – the Senior Content Producer’s job is to take a brief and work at pace to turn it into engaging social content.
You'll need to have an overarching grasp of the types of creative content which work across social media platforms, with a particular focus on Telegram, VK and YouTube. You’ll be on top of the latest trends and developments, enabling you to come to respond to briefs with ideas which think outside of the box and don’t rely on tired, dated formats. Crucially, the way in which you interpret a brief must include standalone thinking for each of the channels and placements requested, so that content always feels native to each app. It is imperative that the person in this role has exceptional Russian language skills, both written and spoken.
What you will be doing:
· Developing content across short and long-form video, graphic and static image formats – for Telegram, VK and YouTube
· Developing additional content which can work in formats for Instagram and TikTok
· Rapidly digest content briefs and present creative options internally, before developing agreed routes
· Ensuring content is up-to-date with developments within the context of campaign subject matter, as well as topical and cultural changes within the target audience and their online behaviours
· Ensuring that all content created is optimized for specific social channels, taking into account all standard considerations around text spaces, safe zones and so on – as well as accessibility considerations
· Generating ideas and creative concepts as part of wider campaign brainstorms within the internal project teams
· Both developing standalone content and editing and improving existing materials
· Managing a more junior Social Content Producer, and retaining overall guardianship and ownership of the production of campaign content
Requirements
Creative skills required:
· Excellent creative copywriting skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely for different online audiences
· Confident user of Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign) – as well as a working understanding of Canva
· Previous professional experience of using video editing software – Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro (Premiere preferred).
· Previous experience of scripting/storyboarding, design and animation.
Social experience required:
· Experience of bringing campaigns to life across multiple digital platforms
· An understanding of formats required for a range of social channels, including Telegram, VK, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok
· Understanding of a variety of Russian audiences, their needs and how best to target them using social content
· Keen awareness of current digital design trends
· Sound editorial judgement and the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of your content
Other experience required
· Motivated self-starter, flexible and adaptable to change
· Comfortable developing content, presenting and communicating in both Russian and English
